This week we had a presentation from Barbara Johnson called "Understanding Your Differences." It focused on people who are hard of hearing. The presentation discussed ways in which to be respectful and helpful to the needs of others. It also taught us that when we do interact with people who may not hear as well we should speak slowly and clearly. We should also look at the person we are talking to. There are many ways to communicate and learning these news ways helps us acknowledge everyone's differences. Learning how to lip read, use assertive technologies, and sign language can be helpful tools. We also had a presentation from the Massachusetts Audubon Society about wood frogs and spadefoot toads. During the presentation, the students learned about the life cycle of these frogs. The students also learned about how they live and where they live. This week in Math:
