Dear Families,
Welcome to Room 27. This classroom is unique since we have three teachers! My name is Ms. Juszkiewicz and I am the intern of the classroom. This year I have decided to join Ms. Merrell and Ms. Drouin in the classroom. I have decided to take on the blogging journey and will collaborate with them throughout the year to keep track of our classroom learning. We noticed our classroom site needed to start up again for this year. We have already learned so much so let us recap the last month. September at a Glance: We have learned . . . -The Classroom/School Expectations
-The Importance of Working Together (classroom quote: "Individually we are one drop. Together we are an ocean") -The Power of Yet I'm not good at this . . . YET! I don't understand this . . . YET! -Growth Mindset vs. Fixed Mindset I can learn anything I want vs. I'm either good at it or I'm not My effort and attitude determine my abilities vs. My potential is predetermined (We can learn from our mistakes and take risks! We will achieve!) -Hopes and Goals What we want to accomplish this year. -Good fit books I choose books because I enjoy them, I understand what I am reading, and I know most of the words. -Quick Writes 3 minutes of writing to increase our stamina! -Multiplication Word Problems There are 3 spiders, each spider has 8 legs. How many legs are there in all? -Folktales We have read: Little Red Ridding Hood Little Red Cowboy Hat Pretty Salma -Readers Theater- Folktales
